I have just found a bit of time to watch the Isle of Man TT that I recorded this year. Wow, records broken this year again.
You would think they would stop breaking records at some point, but every year they are broke. I would rather be there, but from here it is a bit of a journey, then the place is full up and I like my comfort these days. Tents are not for me now.
Bike design is always improving, but you would think it would only be a fraction of a second they would shave off the record laps, but it is seconds!
I like the racing there, but there are always riders killed every year, this year has been the lowest for many years, this my be due to new disigns or that the riders have mostly done it before, it is a big course to memorise so the chance of a rider making an error at the speeds they are travelling at are much greater.
My uncle tried to get me to road race, but I just did it twice.
He said he would sponsor me and get other sponsors, but although I love motorbikes, I didn't like racing much and it is not only yourself that can make a mistake, others can take you out as well.
So far it has been good, but I still have a bit to watch yet.
