Sky Crane Helicopter
This helicopter was working putting up power lines and had been transported from Canada to do the job. It might never be back here, so we took the chance to go and see this massive beast working.
We went up to see a huge Sky Crane Helicopter working.
It was working near Keith on the back road to Dufftown and also through the Cabrach towards Rhynie.
We once arrived to see the helicopter sitting on the ground with the rotors slowly slowing down to a stop. That was a bit frustrating, we had left early that day and it had landed and we were told that it was to windy for it to fly again that day!
It took many runs and a lot of patience before we finally saw it flying on the very last day.
It was a day of heavy snow.Here is some of the early photo's.

Not very good quality, snow and the light would not let Tom (who was filming) see the viewfinder, it was snowing very heavy at the time.
This was the helicopter working in the Cabrach between Dufftown and Rhynie.
